The terms on which the Ocean Gold Sailing Club, its events, and this website are made available to sailors, sponsors and visitors.
This website (ogorsailing.com and its subdomains) is operated by Ocean Gold Sailing Club ("Ocean Gold", "we", "us"). It is provided for general information about the Club, its events — including the Ocean Gold Yacht Race — and its partners. Content on this site is provided on an "as is" basis, without warranty of any kind, and may be updated, corrected or withdrawn at any time without notice.
All Ocean Gold races are conducted under the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) of World Sailing, the prescriptions of the Yachting Association of India (YAI), and the Notice of Race (NOR) and Sailing Instructions (SIs) issued for each event. In the event of a conflict between information on this website and the NOR or SIs, the NOR and SIs shall prevail.
Ocean Gold reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify race schedules, courses, classes, entry fees, prize structures, shore programme, venues and any other aspect of any event, including cancellation or postponement, without liability to participants, sponsors, spectators or third parties.
Completion of the online "Express Your Interest" form is not, by itself, a binding entry into any Ocean Gold event. A binding entry arises only upon written confirmation from Ocean Gold, execution of the official entry documents, acceptance of the NOR and SIs, and receipt of the entry fee via the payment link issued by Ocean Gold. Ocean Gold reserves the right to accept or decline any entry at its sole discretion.
Offshore yacht racing is an inherently dangerous activity that involves risk of personal injury, loss of life, and loss of or damage to property. By expressing interest, entering, participating in or attending any Ocean Gold event, each participant, crew member, boat owner, guest and spectator acknowledges and accepts these risks.
Each participant sails at their own risk. Under RRS Rule 3 (Decision to Race), the responsibility for a boat's decision to participate in a race or to continue racing is solely that of the person in charge of the boat. The owner and person in charge of each boat is responsible for:
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ocean Gold, KMB Group, the Yachting Association of India, the host clubs, sponsors, partners, race officials, volunteers, and their respective directors, officers, employees and agents (collectively, the "Organisers") shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, death, delay or expense — whether direct, indirect, consequential or incidental — arising out of or in connection with any Ocean Gold event or the use of this website, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.
By entering or attending any Ocean Gold event, participants and spectators consent to being photographed, filmed or recorded, and grant Ocean Gold and its partners a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce and publish such images, footage and recordings for editorial, promotional, marketing and archival purposes, in any medium now known or hereafter devised, without further consent or compensation.
Personal information submitted through our forms — including name, email, phone, role and vessel details — is collected solely to coordinate race participation and related communications. Data is stored on secure infrastructure and notifications are routed to the Club's administrative email. We do not sell personal data. We share it only with race officials, host clubs and payment processors as required to run the event. To request access, correction or deletion of your data, write to satyn@kmbgroup.in.
Merchandise (including the coffee-table book, apparel and caps) is offered subject to availability. Prices are in Indian Rupees unless otherwise stated and may change without notice. Entry fees, merchandise purchases and party/hospitality tickets are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated in writing by Ocean Gold.
This website contains links to sponsor and partner websites, and to third-party platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube. Ocean Gold does not control, endorse or accept responsibility for the content or practices of those sites.
The "Ocean Gold", "Ocean Gold Sailing Club" and "Ocean Gold Yacht Race" names, marks and logos, together with all copy, photography, video and design on this site, are the property of Ocean Gold Sailing Club or its licensors and may not be reproduced without written permission. Third-party logos remain the property of their respective owners and are used with permission for identification purposes.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this website, participation in any Ocean Gold event, or these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Mumbai.
